Smart Apps, Smartphones, Smart People
Yesterday I wrote a story for destinationCRM.com about Maximizer Software’s announcement of its Mobile CRM branding. Along with the press release, the folks at Maximizer passed along a YouTube video that demonstrates the need for accessing CRM, even on-the-go.The video is pretty funny, and as Laurie McCabe (SMB analyst with AMI-Partners) points out, it’s a good attempt at viral marketing. |

Maximizing Mobility for the SMB
Maximizer Software announces a branding strategy for its Mobile CRM product.
In a recent video on Google's YouTube, two guys are seen trying to close their respective sales deals while chatting on their cell phones on the streets of New York. One of the salesmen, when he ends the call, does some quick work on his BlackBerry, managing the new contact, entering details of the deal, and sharing and sending information with just a few taps on the handheld device. The other businessman, however, isn’t so lucky. Because he doesn’t have a smartphone with a CRM application, he runs frantically around the city with his laptop, corralling unsuspecting passersby to help in his search for a wireless signal that will allow him to connect to his Web-based CRM software.

Maximizer hitches its wagon to mobile CRM
A while back (I can’t pinpoint the date, but it was a while ago) I said that any CRM provider that did not include a truly effective mobile component would eventually become a casualty of consolidation. (Smarter people than me said it a lot earlier, I admit.) Independently reaching a similar view was Maximizer Software. That point was driven home today when Maximizer announced its new brand, Maximizer Mobile CRM. |

Maximizer Software Makes "BCBusiness Top One Hundred" 2008
This year's BCBusiness Top 100 numbers back up economists' claims that B.C. is well positioned to weather any economic downturn associated with the U.S. housing crisis. Aggregate revenues for the BCBusiness Top 100 companies were $122.2 billion, an increase of 8.9 per cent over last year's tally. The surge outpaces the 6.2 per cent rise in the province's GDP. And
the threshold or making the list this year inched up to $223.9 million in annual revenues, $40 million more than last year.
As one of BC’s top performing companies Maximizer Software is listed in the #98 position in the category of Public Companies, up one position from last year. |

Important Industry Announcements, and What We Think of Them
Maximizer announced the availability of its Entrepreneur Edition, a contact management package intended to give start-ups and individual professionals an out-of-box, full-featured contact management solution. The product offers several new enterprise-level features including: new mobile access with MaxMobile Lite for BlackBerry®; on demand business coaching; on-the-fly reporting; and time and task management with further Outlook integration. Our take: Maximizer is rounding out its product set in a solid, workmanlike fashion. We think it's a viable alternative for companies wanting a complete suite but not wanting to pay an arm and leg in software licensing fees.
